I grew up playing youth soccer throughout the state of NJ. After graduating from college in Boston, I joined a semi-professional team out of South Plainfield, NJ. After injury I knew coaching the next generation of footballers would be the best contribution that I could give back to a sport that has shaped me as a person. I enjoy pushing my players to be the best sportsmen possible, developing both the body and brain in a demanding competition that requires peak performance of both.

I grew up in a small village in Southern Norway called Øyslebø, with a population of less than 500. I have played at regional elite level in Norway, played 6 years as an amateur in Dublin, Ireland, and moved to the US playing in the Greater Seattle Soccer League. I have always loved football and enjoy teaching kids the beautiful game. I believe in the simplicity of the game and in players using their imagination to flourish as they play.

As far as my connection to football, there is a saying: Football is life! I grew up playing and watching obsessively (on Asphalt in streets of Tehran with a plastic ball and at home with a ball made up of four pairs of socks). In graduate school (U-Wisconsin-Milwaukee) I played a bit of Futsal and won some Amatuer leagues. Over the course of the last four years I was coaching in rec and premier clubs. I see beauty in the total football style of play. However you need to have the right players!

Soccer has always played an impactful role in my life, marking big moments like Liverpool's "Miracle of Istanbul" in the 2005 Champions League Final against Milan, meeting my wife on the soccer field in 2010, and picking out my son's first soccer ball in 2015. I've trained with Gonzaga's soccer team, played in the Seattle area leagues, played pick-up at work, formed teams in 3 states, played indoor and futsal, and coached my own children's teams. I enjoy working with kids and helping them find the thrill of the beautiful game.

Soccer has been a significant part of my life since childhood. Starting with futsal, and playing on the beaches, streets, and fields of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I have always been passionate about soccer. I have been involved in competitive soccer in the Redmond, WA area for over 10 years, participating in Soccer leagues and State Cups, and bringing teams up to Regional level of competition. After coaching my two kids, I decided to continue giving back to the community by forming another team at Lake Washington Premier FC, a club that embodies many values and provides a great platform to build high performing teams.

I began my love of the game playing recreational soccer in Puget Sound, where I increased my dedication to select and then premier soccer, over which we were fortunate to win state twice. I played club soccer for the University of Colorado where we won nationals. As a young adult I continued playing ball locally, then began coaching youth soccer to ignite the passion and empower the next generation. I believe inspiring, challenging, and equipping our players is our role as coaches, constantly celebrating our successes and reflecting on areas of improvements as a team.

Soccer has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up on the field alongside my two siblings, the sport quickly became a central part of my childhood. I started playing recreationally at a young age and moved into competitive club soccer by the time I was 8. I continued playing through high school as a three-sport varsity athlete, with soccer always being my passion and a motivator to succeed both on and off the field. Like many, my coaching journey began when my son’s team needed a coach, and I quickly discovered how much I enjoyed it. Since then, I’ve continued coaching and developing my skills as a mentor and leader. I’m excited to now be part of Lake Washington Premier FC and to support my son’s soccer journey as well as help build strong, passionate players in the community.

Whilst living in Northern California I started playing soccer in 6th grade where my coach was a professional player for the San Jose Earthquakes. I moved upto the select leagues and played Varsity throughout High School. After my freshman year I played on a US National U-19 boys team. The following year I played on the Northern California US Jr Olympics development team.
After High School I had a scholarship to play for San Jose State, and then played for a professional team in the Bay area before joining the US Marine Corps. An injury stalled my career but I started coaching as an assistant with my old High School soccer team, and returned to playing in a corporate team and last played in the 2010 Sounders FC Corporate Cup.

My love for soccer has been a constant source of joy and excitement throughout my life. Although I didn't pursue a professional career in the sport, my involvement with soccer began in Nigeria, where the game holds immense popularity. From my early childhood, I started kicking the ball around with friends on the streets of my hometown, and as I progressed through my education, I actively participated in soccer, representing my elementary and high school teams, and even joining departmental competitions during my college years. I also played briefly in the Microsoft Soccer League, but as I approached the end of my active playing days, coaching presented a fantastic opportunity to nurture the next generation's love for soccer. Embracing this new role, I found immense fulfillment in sharing my knowledge and instilling values of teamwork and discipline in young talents. Coaching has been a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others while sharing my unwavering love for the beautiful game.
